Most kids like animals .

Some kids have animals at home . They care for and play with their animals.

These animals are pets. A dog, a cat, and are pets.

 

Choosing a pet can be difficult.

 

Consider:

Where a kid lives is important for choosing.

 

Time and cost to care for the animal are important.

 

Allergies, the space and are important.

 

Your task:

Work in teams to investigate and to suggest the best pets for Jenny, Bob and Kyle.

 

Jenny lives on the 12th floor of a big apartment building in a big city. There is a big park across the street.

 

Bob lives  in a small village in the country. He has a big backyard. His brother is allergic to fur.

 

Kyle loves animals but is not very rich. He lives with his grandparents in a small house. They don't like animals.

 

Procedure:

1.   Make a team. 

2.   Brainstorm possible animals for pets. Use a mind-map. Compare lists with other teams.

 

 

3.   Brainstorm what to consider to choose a pet. Use a mind-map to help. Compare lists with other teams.
